Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini was happy after their Europa League win at Aris.
Ayoze Perez struck for the only goal of the game.
Pellegrini said: “It was a game just as we expected it to be. In the second half their goalkeeper took three one-on-ones. We had the bit of luck that is needed scoring after they hit the post. A complete game, especially in defense, in a competition in which we have problems in that area.
“What I liked the most is the maturity with which we approached the game. I liked the defensive security we showed. We had four heads-up plus other dangerous options. It is in the part of the definition in which we have to try to improve.
“I think they created few chances for us. The 0-1 does not reflect what the game was because we had many chances. Having kept a clean sheet is important. We cannot think that we are going to win the games by three or four goals.
“The team is on the right path."
