Real Betis sporting director Alexis admits they're keen to re-sign Joaquin from Fiorentina.
The Spain winger only moved to Florence last summer.
"Joaquin has two more years of contract at Fiorentina and it's very difficult to see him coming back to us," Alexis said.
"The circumstances for getting him to come back to us are very remote for us. The truth is that we all want to see him back in Seville, but we need to be realistic, it really is complicated.
"In football you can never say never, but it's very difficult."
