Reading won't allow Lita to make Bristol City return

Reading have ruled out Leroy Lita moving back to Bristol City.

Lita has fallen out with Royals boss Steve Coppell and is looking for a move.

The Ashton Gate outfit have made inquires about the availably of the England under 21 striker, but Reading director of football Nicky Hammond says Lita is going nowhere.

Nicky Hammond said to the Evening Post, "I do not expect Leroy Lita to leave during the transfer window and I still want him to commit to Reading."

He added: "I'm sure other clubs will look at the Leroy situation and think there is an opportunity there. But the manager has said all along he needs four forwards for healthy competition and there is hardly anyone we want to lose in the transfer window."

Lita has only appeared eight times for Reading this season. The striker moved from City back in July, 2005 for £1 million.
