Reading defender Daniel Carrico is set to join Sevilla on loan.

The 24-year old is in Spain to have a medical ahead of a season-long spell with the Sevillistas.

Carrico joined Reading from Sporting Lisbon in January 2013 but failed to make an impact at the Madejski Stadium and will now move on to the Spanish La Liga.

"Sevilla is a great club," said Carrico. "I would love to play for them. I will not be staying at Reading."
