Championship club Reading will continue their pursuit of midfielder Mohamed Sissoko.
The 28-year old French-born Mali international is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on Monday and could be snapped up by the Royals according to a statement on the club's official website.
"The Royals will continue to operate in the transfer market over the coming weeks," read the statement.
"On deadline day and this morning the Royals held talks with vastly experienced midfielder Momo Sissoko, and talks with him may continue in the future as he is out of contract."
Sissoko is best remembered in England for his spell with Liverpool between 2005 and 2008 whilst he has also played for Auxerre, Valencia and Juventus.
