Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is buzzing after his first England call-up.
His displays against Liverpool and Fulham in recent weeks - despite the Royals' relegation from the Premier League - caught Roy Hodgson's eye.
McCarthy, who heads to West Ham tomorrow for Reading's final league game before they return to the Championship, said: "I'm over the moon.
"When you grow up wanting to be a footballer you dream of playing for England - and now I've got my chance."
