Reading helping Barcelona invade English football

Reading are helping Barcelona invade England!

The Daily Star says members of the Royals' coaching staff have joined Barca academy camps this week in Surrey.

Goalkeeping coach Sal Bibbo is among the England-based coaches taking the camps for kids, but they are also learning from Barcelona staff.

Barca coach Enrique Duran said: "The local coaches are very intelligent and if they want to improve they can introduce some of Barcelona's methodology into their styles.

"We can also learn from them because who knows the truth? We can learn from another football culture and so can they."

Barcelona claim the camps have been a huge success and are planning four more this year at the ACS School in Cobham, just down the road from Chelsea's training ground.

The Catalan giants are considering an English branch of their famed Escola, which produced Cesc Fabregas, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.

Duran added: "This is the first time that Barcelona have travelled to England to introduce our philosophy into English football.

"The camps are good to introduce Barcelona to England and we want the same result from this camp at the other camps."
