Reading chief executive Nigel Howe insists no star players from the Madejski Stadium will be poached by Galatasaray.
The Royals and the Turkish club have entered a partnership which has been formed to share knowledge, scouting information and to organise friendlies but some fans feel that top players, including England-born Turkish midfielder Jem Karacan, could be pinched from the Berkshire outfit.
However, Howe has made it clear that the agreement is not about the signing of players already in either squad as has been occurring with Watford and Udinese this season.
"It's about working together, not taking each other's players," Howe told BBC Radio Berkshire.
"Udinese and Watford is different as they have the same owner. This is about sharing information and helping players progress.
"(Galatasaray) have knowledge that Jem is a player of ours. There is no specific link, they think Jem is a player that has massive potential but so do we.
"So in terms of them thinking they are going to steal players, that is not how it works."
