Reading boss Coppell may send Lita SOS

Reading are suffering a barren spell in front of goal at present, with Kevin Doyle failing to find the target in 18 games and Dave Kitson hitting an alarming slump.

As a result, Royals boss Steve Coppell admits that he has not ruled out the possibility of bringing Leroy Lita back from his loan spell at Charlton, where the striker has netted three times in seven appearances.

"I won't do it for this week," he said.

"I am mindful, though, that if things don't change I can call him back. I am aware of the situation and how he is doing.

"I speak with Alan Pardew (Charlton's boss) after every game and he's doing all right. He won't come back for this Saturday, but there are another three games and we'll see. All I am looking at now is this Saturday against Arsenal."
