Reading boss Nigel Adkins is confident Alex McCarthy won't be sold from under him.

Adkins will not be forced to flog off his prized assets at relegated Reading.

Royals goalkeeper McCarthy is wanted by Liverpool. But boss Adkins said: "We don't have to sell."
