Reading are set to trump Celtic for Portsmouth defender Hermann Hreidarsson.

The Daily Mail says Hreidarsson frozen out at Fratton Park, has welcomed the opportunity to rejoin Steve Coppell, who brought him to England 11 years ago when in charge of Crystal Palace.

The 34-year-old was brought to Portsmouth from Charlton by then manager Harry Redknapp in 2007.
