Rayo Vallecano have blocked Leeds United from holding talks with coach Andoni Iraola.

Leeds had placed the 40-year-old at the top of their shortlist after this week's dismissal of Jesse Marsch.

But the Madrid club, today fifth in the standings three points behind the Champions League, did not allow Iraola to speak with Leeds.

For his part, Iraola is happy to continue lead Rayo.
