RAW: Portsmouth's Halford lets rip at ex-Wolves boss McCarthy

Portsmouth defender Greg Halford admits he didn't see eye-to-eye with former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy.

McCarthy was sacked by Wolves yesterday.

And Halford tweeted: "Think the wolves lads will be glad they don't have to wear shin pads in training any more."

Asked why Wolves fans 'hated him', Halford replied: "I was a scape goat pretty much. Mick spoke they listened simple really."

On McCarthy he added: "... don't dislike him at all. Don't have respect for him for the way he's treated some players past and present.

"I cuda been better then messi and still not played under him."
