Raul insists there's no rift with Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini. It's been mooted that Raul is considering retirement this season after being limited to substitute's role under Pellegrini.

But the Real captain featured in victory over FC Zurich last night and said: "I feel important in this team, taking advantage of the opportunities Pellegrini gives me.

"I knew my role at the beginning of the season and was aware that I would spend more time on the bench.

"What matters is the group, that we are united and that we meet our targets."

Raul added: "I have my contract and I am committed to it. Those who know me believe in me."
