Ranieri tried to stay upbeat after Juventus stalemate

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri attempted to stay upbeat after their disappointing 0-0 draw with Empoli.

"Of course I am not satisfied, but Empoli were well organised and did not allow us to find the right gap, so they took home what they always wanted," said Ranieri. "Considering the way this evening went elsewhere, a point is better than nothing!

"The second half of the season is always more difficult. It becomes increasingly tough to win and do well against those who don't want to get relegated and the sides aiming for the Champions League," continued Ranieri.

"We came to Empoli in order to win, but I cannot reproach my lads, even if we did miss a few too many final balls in."

It was a boost for the Tuscans, who are in penultimate position in the Serie A table.

"We are satisfied with the draw," said team manager Cappellini. "It is a point that increases our confidence ahead of the difficult games we are yet to face."
