Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has declared David Trezeguet his most important player.

"I could do without Gigi Buffon, but not without David," Ranieri revealed on the Juventus Channel. "He is having a stupendous campaign. Not only is he scoring goals, but he is the first to come back and defend."

He added: "There will be no new arrivals in January and I expect lots from the players who haven't had a chance to show their best yet."
