Ranieri feels Leicester have dream chance to bounce back against Man City

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that his side have been handed a great chance to bounce back when they meet Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Leicester's fine unbeaten run finally came to an end when they suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield on Boxing Day.

Things could get worse for for the Foxes as they now prepare for a clash against third-placed City at King Power Stadium but rather than being fazed by the challenge, Ranieri has stated that his side are looking forward to the prospect of challenging Manuel Pellegrini's men.

Ranieri said: "Are we tired? No. It is in our mind. We have to recover, but we must recover in the mind. It is a question of forgetting this result, of accepting it and moving on.

"We knew we had to lose eventually, of course, so we must forget. It is how we react mentally now. But you know my idea - we are dreaming, we are in good position, 38 points, fantastic. It is our dream that City in the next game are our rivals!

"Pressure? To be honest I don't think we will play another game this season with pressure, we've got ourselves in a brilliant situation and we are doing fantastic – we deserve to be where we are.

"We see City as a test. There will probably be a lot of pundits and media that think now we are going to lie down and relax with our 30-something points. We're not a side to do that.

"It will be a massive occasion - another mouth-watering game, a loss on Boxing Day and you've got three days before you're running out again against a team like Manchester City in front of your home fans. It is something to relish, it's not pressure."
