Rangers youngster Perry commits to newco

Rangers defender Ross Perry has pledged his allegiance to the club despite their ongoing problems.

The 22-year old returned to pre-season training yesterday as plenty of 'Gers players stayed away due to the newco that has been formed by new owner Charles Green.

That has created plenty of uncertainty at Ibrox as the Glasgow club is unsure which competition it will be playing in next season with the Scottish Premier League now seeming unrealistic as other clubs get set to vote against 'Gers.

At least 10 players have already decided not to transfer their contracts over to the newco but Perry is remaining faithful to the club that gave him a start as a young boy.

"I've been here since I was 11 or 12 years old and Rangers have been there for my whole football career," he told Rangers TV.

"They've been great to me and I think I owe them. I played a little bit last season but I think I've got a lot more to give.

"Hopefully over the next season or two I can do that.

"This is my sixth or seventh year as a professional and it has been great here.

"The manager and the staff have been here for the majority of that time and I've loved every minute of it.

"Obviously some of the boys have felt the need to go elsewhere but I'm comfortable here and I'm happy here."
