Rangers striker Boyd pleads for Scotland chance

Kris Boyd has begged Scotland boss George Burley for a chance to shoot down Norway. The Rangers striker, who has 7 goals in 15 international appearances, had been expected to start as a substitute. However, an injury to first choice forward Kenny Miller has opened the door for Boyd to stake a claim for his place.

"I just want the chance to show what I can do as I've missed out in the past," Boyd told the Scottish Sun.

"I have missed a fair few big matches for Rangers and don't want the same to happen with Scotland.

"This is a massive game for Scotland and hopefully I will get the chance to start."
