Scottish Premier League giants Rangers are set to be taken over tonight. Breaking news reports suggest that venture capitalist Craig Whyte has today met with current majority shareholder Sir David Murray to try and get a settlement for the proposed takeover which has been on the cards since November.
Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston recently indicated that the club was set to pursue other alternatives as the negotiations with Whyte seemed to have broken down but fresh reports say that the deal is almost done and should be completed by tonight.
There is expected to be an announcement on the stock exchange tomorrow after a final agreement is reached later this evening.
