Rangers open door to Motherwell for Webster loan

Rangers boss Walter Smith admits he could send defender Andy Webster on-loan to Motherwell.

Smith said: "He needs regular football. He's been out for two years now and there is no guarantee of a position here, and that won't do him any good.

"So we will let him go out until January to see if he can get himself regular games - I feel we need to do that.

"So if there are clubs interested, they just need to get in touch with us.

"Motherwell are obviously interested in him, but no club has made any move to take him, other than speaking to his agent.

"But if they can come to an agreement, and the player is happy to go there, then there is no reason why he shouldn't. We'd have no objection to it."
