Rangers have lost the services of central defender Madjid Bougherra for two to three weeks it has been reported.
The 28-year old Algerian centre-half injured his hamstring in his Rangers' Scottish League Cup victory over Celtic on March 20 and despite receiving specialist treatment, will be sidelined for up to three weeks.
His absence further limits the defensive options that 'Gers boss Walter Smith has at his disposal as he chases a third straight Scottish Premier League title in his final season as manager.
Bougherra could now miss upcoming fixtures against Dundee United, St Johnstone, Hamilton Academical and Aberdeen and quite possibly even St Mirren on April 16.
