Jordan McMillan has joined Dunfermline Athletic from Rangers.
The 23-year old has departed Ibrox after almost seven years for a fresh start with the Pars for whom he has signed until May 2013.
Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre admitted he has been a fan of McMillan for a while and was thrilled to have secured his services.
"I was quite surprised when I found out that Rangers were willing to do a deal. The fact that it is a permanent deal is fantastic.
"He is player who is versatile; he can play in the middle of the park or equally he is comfortable at full-back.
"He has real tenacity, he is strong in the tackle. He is quick, really really quick.""Jordan McMillan, I have chased a couple of times and not been successful," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, Dunfermline also signed 20-year old Rangers midfielder Kyle Hutton on loan for the rest of the season. Hutton also signed a contract extension with 'Gers until 2014.
