RangersBarry Ferguson is hoping to have recovered from injury for the Hampden clash with Argentina. The 30-year-old Scotland captain is close to making his comeback from the ankle operation he underwent in July.
He now has the November 19 clash with Argentina firmly in his sights.
"I haven't played for George Burley since he became Scotland boss and want to remedy that as soon as possible," Ferguson told the Scottish Sun.
"This is the ideal stage to test yourself, against the top team in the world.
"I'm praying that by the time we face Argentina we'll have beaten Norway too and the whole place will be on a high."
He added: "I'm getting battered on the training pitch and in the gym but I can see the goal ahead of me now. Perhaps I'll have a reserve game in two weeks.
"I would hope I'll be ready for the Argentina match because it's one everyone will want to be involved in."
