Nikica Jelavic is expected to take his place in the Rangers starting line-up for this weekend's Old Firm derby.
The reigning Scottish champions take on Glasgow rivals Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday and the club is very hopeful that the Croatian striker will be fit after missing last weekend's win at Dundee United with a knee injury.
"I am very hopeful that Nikica's injury will clear up in time for Sunday. It wasn't anything major that kept him out at United, it was a slight niggle in his knee," manager Ally McCoist told the club's official website.
"We hope he can rejoin training and if so that will be encouraging for us."
