Rangers boss Smith keen to see Webster case over

Rangers boss Walter Smith is keen to see the end of Andy Webster's transfer case.

The two-day case involving Webster began in Lausanne, Switzerland yesterday and a judgment is expected to be announced next month.

Webster is hoping to agree a permanent move to Ibrox after the case is concluded, and Smith said: "We will need time to digest what happens and then we can take things from there.

"I think we will all be happy when it's all over. Andy has been really unfortunate since he has come to Rangers in terms of injury, but he is getting there now. And even if he had been fit, the form of Davie Weir and Carlos Cuellar would have made it difficult to get in."
