Rangers boss Smith delighted with Miller form

Rangers boss Walter Smith was delighted with Kenny Miller's double in their 3-0 victory over Hibs. The win takes Gers back to the top of the table and Miller's goal tally to four since his return to Ibrox from Derby County in the summer.

"I think, overall, his performances have been really good," the Rangers manager said.

"Everybody talks about his number of goals but if the performances are good, and you have the creation of opportunities that there was today, then he has shown in his career he can get a number of goals.

"When people criticise his level of scoring, a lot of the time he has been playing in teams that, had there been better creation, then he may have had more.

"If we continue to create the opportunities, he will continue to score."

Miller added: "We have created a lot of chances in the last few games.

"There was good movement and good passes, particularly in the first half. And I managed to get on the end of some of them.

"I think we definitely deserved to win the last couple of games more comfortably. But we have come to a tough place, and to win 3-0 is a massive result for us."
