Rangers' Bocanegra linked with Vancouver Whitecaps

Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra is being linked with a move to Vancouver Whitecaps according to recent reports.

The current situation of the Glasgow outfit, who fell into administration earlier this week, has clouded the future of many players at the club and it is believed that Bocanegra is one of the first to be associated with a departure.

The USA national team captain has two-and-a-half-years left on his Rangers contract but may be open to a move in the summer if the financial situation does not improve.

32-year old Bocanegra spent four seasons with Chicago Fire before moving to Fulham in 2004 and has since played for French clubs Rennes and Saint-Etienne before arriving at Ibrox in August.
