Ramsey confident of Arsenal title challenge next season

Aaron Ramsey has said Arsenal's form this campaign will stand them in good stead for challenging champions Chelsea to the Premier League title. The Gunners lost just two top flight games since defeat to Southampton on New Year's Day and qualified for an automatic Champions League spot for the first time since 2012.

Asked about the possibility of winning the league crown, he told Goal: "If we get off to a good start and keep the momentum going from the back end of this season to next season, we have a very good opportunity.

"It's just about being consistent throughout the season which we haven't done so well in the last couple of seasons. We've had one good half or three quarters of the season have gone really well, but for part of the season we've gone off the boil a bit.

"But I think we've grown as the season has gone on now and that puts us in a really good position for next year.

"I think the team is a lot more settled. Everybody understands each other, there's a lot of talent and ability on the pitch now. We can threaten from all over the pitch and I think we've been a lot more solid defensively as a unit."
