Ramsey, Arshavin up for rescuing Arsenal boss Wenger

Arsenal pair Aaron Ramsey and Andrey Arshavin are ready to come to the rescue of manager Arsene Wenger.

Ramsey pronounced himself fit and ready to fill Cesc Fabregas's boots - with the midfielder finally ready to get his move to Barcelona today.

Ramsey, who has made an inspiring recovery after suffering an horrific broken leg, declared: "We are not going to take too much interest in what people say.

"We know what we can do and we know our targets for the season."

Arshavin has pledged to fill the void left by Samir Nasri's impending departure to Manchester City - by hitting the net. Arshavin said: "I want to play for Arsenal and my aim is to score 15 goals this season."
