Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is desperate to beat Manchester City tonight.
Madrid host the English title-holders at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League group stage and Ramos is hoping that the Spanish champions can put aside their poor league form to kickstart their European campaign in style.
"The match against City is very important," said Ramos. "To win against City would make things calm and boost our morale for the remainder of the week.
"We need to change the situation and recover the style that we offered [to our fans] last season.
"To play against [David] Silva, [Carlos] Tevez, [Joe] Hart, [Sergio] Aguero and the like is an extra incentive for any footballer.
"These players are always special for the players. It is normal that we want to demonstrate that we are the best against City."
