Raiola hits back at Brescia legal chief over Balotelli pay claims

Super agent Mino Raiola has hit back at Brescia's legal chief over criticism of Mario Balotelli.

Mattia Grassani, the lawyer for the president of Brescia, Massimo Cellino, has rapped Balotelli for "serving notice" on the club over delayed payments.

He snapped to Gazzetta dello Sport: "I think he is the only footballer in Europe to have the audacity to put his club in default in order to obtain the full payment of the month of March, in full Covid-19.

"In addition, the club has lost count of the warnings sent by the player always during the night that complain about the alleged impossibility of training. The last one Wednesday evening when the offices were obviously already closed. With the experience gained in the last days in the regulatory field and application of the collective agreement, he could receive an honorary degree in Law."

In response, Raiola insisted Balotelli had not been paid for the past three months.

He declared: "It seems to me that Grassani wants to do trials in the newspapers instead of in court. The truth will emerge and I will tell Mario to write emails to Mr. Grassani directly in the morning and not after 8pm when he comes home and realises who are discriminating against him.

"I did not know that Brescia had not yet paid the month of March and it seems normal to me that one can ask for payment after three months of not paying it."
