Racing Santander have announced Hector Cuper as new coach.
Cuper has agreed a one-year contract with the Cantabrian club and replaces Marcelino Garcia Toral, who guided Racing to a 12th-placed finish last season before stepping down prior to taking the reins at Sevilla.
The 55-year-old Cuper counts Valencia - who he led to two Champions League finals in 2000 and 2001 - Inter Milan, Real Mallorca, Parma and, most recently, Aris Thessaloniki among his former clubs.
He also coached the Georgia national team.
