Queensland trialist could make shock appearance

On-trial Queensland Roar hopeful Henrique Andrade Silva could be a shock selection for tonight's minor semi-final second leg. The Brazilian has been impressive in training with the Roar and if a clearance is arranged in time from his club, America Miniero, he may used off the bench at against the Central Coast Mariners Suncorp Stadium tonight.

Frank Farina's Roar take a 2-0 lead into the home leg of the semi-final and if they can hold off the challenge of the Mariners will go through to the preliminary final next week.

It is a strange move by Farina to contemplate including a trialist but with the loss of Tahj Minniecon, could well be an option.

"I've been impressed with him," Farina said.

"He looks sharp in a position where we've lost Tahj, so it's an option.

"I'm leaning towards Isaka (Cernak). It's a big game and a great opportunity for him, and if I give Isaka the nod, I'm sure he'll do a good job for us."
