Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri feels that the perfect combination of quality and spirit is the secret behind his team's success this season.

The Foxes continued their spectacular run by defeating Chelsea 2-1 at King Power Stadium on Monday night to return to the top of the Premier League table with 35 points from 16 games.

Following the game, the Italian said on Foxes Player: "Without quality you can do nothing. But I think our strength is our spirit. We help each other, it's true because you watch the match and we always look to press and immediately arrives the second and the third. They press and get the ball then straight away we try to score.

"These players are friendly. There is a very good spirit and they enjoy each other's company. Also, after the match and after training sessions some players stay together. That is good spirit and you see on the pitch when they play, even when there's a long ball, the other runs to try to catch the ball – that is good.

"I expected this kind of match because Chelsea have so many champions. They can invent something suddenly and for us it was important to concentrate for 95 minutes."
