QPR midfielder Joey Barton has lost his first-choice status at Olympique Marseille.

Barton hasn't started in the past four games for l'OM.

"Any footballer wants to play every game. Sometimes the coach decides to change some things in the team," said Barton.

"I play for the team, the most important thing is that OM finishes as high as possible on the table. The only thing that matters is that the club wins the matches and qualifies for the Champions League."
