QPR's Barton in fresh controversy at Marseille

QPR midfielder Joey Barton has become embroiled in fresh controversy at Olympique Marseille.

The Daily Mail says Barton has been involved in yet another heated spat during a friendly with his new club Marseille.

The midfielder joined the French side in August after copping a 12-match ban while playing for Queens Park Rangers last season.

But Barton has seemingly failed to change his ways since moving to the Ligue 1 side after he squared up to Istre's Guy-Roland Niangbo.

The dispute was the result of a wild lunge by Barton as he looks to build match fitness before he can make his league debut for the club.

But the incident comes just days after the 30-year-old clashed with AEL Limassol's goalkeeper Matias Degra in the Champions League.
