QPR, Wolves, Aston Villa to go after Liverpool midfielder Alberto

Queens Park Rangers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are all interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.

Alberto has proven to be a huge flop since his move to Liverpool back in 2013 and it was believed that the Reds would finally be looking to dispense with the services of the 23-year-old this summer, with a move back to Sevilla being widely touted.

However, the transfer seems to have collapsed as Sevilla are unwilling to match Liverpool's asking price for Alberto and now according to reports, Championship trio QPR, Wolves and Villa have joined the race to sign the Spaniard.

Alberto has spent the past two seasons on loan with Malaga and Deportivo La Coruña and is likely to leave Merseyside again as he does not feature in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp.
