QPR winger Junior Hoilett says talk of a January loan move to West Bromwich Albion gave him the kick up the backside he needed.
Harry Redknapp wanted the 22-year-old winger to be part of a switch involving Albion striker Peter Odemwingie. Hoilett stayed put, and the bonus is the benefit of Redknapp's experience.
"He's a man of considerable calibre when it comes to managers," said Hoilett. "He's taken me aside and told me how to improve, and you always take notice of that kind of advice."
