QPR want to bring Joey Barton back from Olympique Marseille.

Barton has revealed his dream of securing a permanent move to Marseilles is under threat because QPR now want him to back to help them in the Championship next season.

He said: "I'm in a good position because Marseilles wants me to stay and I would like to stay.

"It would be much simpler if QPR did not want me, which was the case last year, but things have changed a bit there.

"Marseilles for me would be ideal, but who knows what can happen between now and the start of next season."
