QPR are closing on a deal for Liverpool attacker Craig Bellamy.

The Sun says Hoops boss Mark Hughes is chasing the Liverpool ace, 33 today, and hopes to tie up a deal to take him to Shepherd's Bush within the week.

The striker played under Hughes for Wales and at Manchester City.

And now he is ready to reject a return to his home town club Cardiff and the chance to stay at Liverpool to link up with Hughes again.
