QPR struggling to strike terms with free agent Hugo Almeida

QPR have made an attempt for free agent Hugo Almeida.

The Portugal centre-forward came off contract at the end of last season with Besiktas and flirted with Premier League clubs over the summer.

Almeida reps met with West Ham United, Southampton and Sunderland during the close-season transfer window, but nothing could be settled.

TMW says QPR are now in negotiations with Almeida, but talks are dragging on over his personal demands.

Rs boss Harry Redknapp is in the market for a new striker after losing Loic Remy to Chelsea in the final days of the market.
