QPR skipper Barton facing NINE MATCH ban for Man City carnage

QPR firebrand Joey Barton is facing a NINE MATCH ban after he rained one-man carnage on Mancherst City.

He will be hit hard by the FA for seeing red - and then admitting he tried to get a City man sent off. The midfielder swung an elbow at Carlos Tevez, knee Sergio Aguero, attempt to headbutt Vincent Kompany and try to confront Mario Balotelli.

Barton receives an automatic three-match ban and another game because it was his second red of the season.

His kneeing of Aguero could carry another three-match suspension - plus two because it would be his third red of the campaign.
