QPR sign Wigan defender Hall

QPR have swooped for Wigan Athletic defender Fitz Hall.

The 27-year-old has agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract at Loftus Road after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

Hall has struggled to secure first-team football at Wigan this season and he has made only two appearances for the Latics this campaign.

The centre-back becomes the latest acquisition for QPR as manager Luigi De Canio makes full use of the January transfer window.

Rangers have already clinched deals for Patrick Agyemang, Hogan Ephraim, Akos Buzsaky, Matthew Connolly, Gavin Mahon and Kieran Lee as De Canio bids to build a squad capable of moving away from the Championship relegation zone.

Hall began his career at Barnet before moving to Oldham, Southampton and Crystal Palace ahead of joining Wigan in 2006.
