QPR should never have sacked Stoke boss Hughes – Taarabt

Adel Taarabt has stated that QPR should have never sacked Mark Hughes.

Hughes endured an ill-fated spell as manager at Loftus Road and while he did manage to save the Hoops from relegation during the 2011/12 season, the Welshman was unceremoniously shown the door following a torrid campaign only six months later.

Hughes did not win many admirers during his difficult spell as manager of QPR but club misfit Taarabt is certainly a fan of the current Stoke boss.

Taarabt, who recently exited QPR, has stated that the Hoops made a huge mistake by sacking Hughes and added that the current Potters boss was the most professional person he ever worked with.

The Moroccan international told The Sun: "The biggest mistake QPR made was to sack Hughes. I have never worked for a manager at the club as professional as him.

"Every day he was professional. His sessions were amazing and he had respect from every player. You can see the job he has done at Stoke. QPR didn't give him the time and they paid for it."
