QPR are yet to make an official statement regarding the managerial situation at the club.
The R's saw Harry Redknapp step down from the role last week and are currently under the care of Chris Ramsey who managed to produce their first away of the season with a 2-0 win at Sunderland last night.
Speculation suggests that former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood was the firm favourite for the role before fresh rumours linked ex-Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup, now at the helm of Qatari club Lekhwiya, with the Loftus Road job.
However, a source from QPR told Sky Sports News HQ that nothing has yet occurred with the west London club still on the hunt for a replacement for Redknapp.
"Discussions are still ongoing regarding the best way forward. There is no definitive update but we expect to make a statement in the next couple of days," said the source.
