QPR's Mackie delighted with performance against Man Utd's Evra

QPR striker Jamie Mackie is happy with the performance he put in against Manchester United on the weekend.

Despite not scoring and the R's losing 2-0 at Loftus Road, the Scotland international put in a menacing showing against United left-back Patrice Evra who struggled to keep up with his pace and well-timed cut-ins.

"I thought I gave him a good test and that's all you can do," Mackie told the club's official website.

"I was a bit frustrated that I didn't see more of the ball to be honest but it was a good challenge for me and I look forward to playing against all these top left-backs and seeing what I can do.

"Now that I am getting the chance to come up against the best players in the world, I love testing myself. It's a nice marker for me to see how far I have come."
