Jamie Mackie is happy with the way things have panned out since his return from a badly broken leg.
The QPR striker was sidelined for ten months following the injury but is now back in action for both club and country.
26-year old Mackie returned the scorers list for the Scotland national team in their 2-1 friendly win over Cyprus on Friday and the R's man was thrilled to have contributed the cause after such a long time out.
"It's been a long road back for me and this feels really special," he told the club's official website.
"I have a lot of people to thank for getting me back to a level where I can again play for my country.
"The lads have welcomed me back with open arms. I missed seven games, including the bulk of the qualifiers, and that was hard. Missing those qualifiers in the run-in to Euro 2012 was hard to cope with.
"The qualifiers were massive and mentally that was a hard time for me. I'm so glad now that I put the extra mile in my recovery."
