QPR's Helguson admits Sunderland result disappointing

QPR strike ace Heidar Helguson is hoping the team can bounce back quickly from last night's disappointing 3-2 loss to Sunderland at home.

The R's fell two goals behind before rallying with Helguson's seventh of the season and a header from Jamie Mackie (assisted by Helguson) in quick succession in the second half but were gutted when Wes Brown won the match for the Black Cats with a late header.

Helguson feels that in the end it should have not been a losing result and is looking for a more positive showing against Swansea City on Tuesday.

"The first half, in general, was very disappointing," he told the club's official website.

"I actually thought the first ten minutes we did very well, but when they scored we sat back and looked a bit scared to take the game to them.

"In the second half I thought we came out much, much better.

"We showed some really good character to get back from two goals down to 2-2, but then to lose it like that at the end was an absolute killer."

He added: "Swansea will be a hard game as always, but we'll go there aiming to win the game.

"We can't dwell on this defeat. We need to dust ourselves down and go again.

"The trip to Swansea gives us another chance to put things right."
