QPR's Cisse heads to Al-Gharafa on loan

Djibril Cisse has left QPR to join Qatari club Al-Gharafa on loan.

The French striker has fallen down the pecking order at Loftus Road following the arrival of Loic Remy from Marseille and will now spend the remainder of the season in Doha.

Cisse, who has moved from Panathinaikos to Lazio to QPR in the since July 2011, Tweeted to R's fans that he hopes the club can remain in the top flight despite his exit.

"Thanks to all the qpr fans and sorry i didn't do as good as last season.thanks for all the support and no doubt we r staying up," he wrote.

Cisse scored four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions this campaign after netting six times in eight outings at the end of last term.
